Pricilla B. was admitted to Twin Rivers Nursing & Rehabilitation after sustaining multiple injuries from an auto accident in January.
After over a month of being hospitalized and several hospital transfers due to the severity of her injuries, Pricilla came to Twin Rivers in February to finish her rehabilitation to restore her functional mobility.
Pricilla received physical and occupational therapy five times a week for 30 days in which she made great progress, going from needing total assistance with many activities, to needing no assistance at all on the day of her discharge.
We were happy to discharge Pricilla home with her family in March. Thank you for allowing Twin Rivers to restore your independence.

Anne R. was referred to our Speech Therapy department due to dysphagia issues that limited her ability to swallow pills and required her to be on a mechanical soft diet. When referred to speech therapy, Anne was able to swallow her food properly only 40 percent of the time on a mechanical soft diet. After receiving treatment for six weeks with our Synchrony OmnisEMG system, Anne was able to swallow properly 100% of the time on a regular consistency diet. This treatment has allowed Anne to avoid the risk of weight loss which is often associated with dysphagia. Twin Rivers Nursing is the only skilled nursing facility in Owensboro to offer this treatment.
