Wildlife Bridge

In an effort to reduce accidents involving wildlife on the busiest highways, cities all over the world have cleverly begun building safe bridges for animals to use! Recently, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources released a video to the media of the bridge in use – aiding skunks, moose, porcupines, wolves, deer, bobcats and even bears across the busy highway. A study completed by the Virginia Department of Transportation estimated that the bridges become cost effective if they prevent more than half of deer-vehicle collisions per year (depending on the road.) Coexisting with the animals on our planet has never been more important than it is now. Innovative ideas like wild life bridges helps humanity to take a big step in that direction!
